UNITY, ME—Lewis Knights, 89, of Unity passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Sunday, October 28, 2018, at Maine General Medical Center in Augusta, ME.\r\n\r\nHe was born in Hartland, ME on September 30, 1929, the son of the late Lynn and Myrtle (Morse) Knights.\r\n\r\nLewis married the former Sharon Cummings of Belgrade Lakes, ME on September 1, 1961. He was a Jack of All Trades. His employment included working in the woods, he was a millwright, and worked in construction, but he was best known for his work as an automotive mechanic. \r\n\r\nLewis enjoyed listening to old time country music, dancing, camping, and taking the kids to the lake. He especially enjoyed following the Red Sox, and would have been overjoyed knowing that they had won another World Series on the evening of his passing.\r\n\r\nBesides his parents, he was predeceased by his son, Kris Knights.\r\n\r\nLewis will be sadly missed by his adoring wife, Sharon Knights; his children, Sharon Cormier and her husband, Maurice of Belgrade, ME, Keven Knights and his wife, Katrina of VA, Kurt Knights and his wife, Gena of PA, and Rebecca Ramos and her husband, Russell of MO; his sister, Lois Williams of Pittsfield, ME; his brothers, Albert Knights and his wife, Margaret of Oakland, ME, Donald Knights of Pittsfield, ME, and Harold Knights of Dover, ME; 13 grandchildren; and many great grandchildren.
