Winslow, ME--Paul Stucki MD., 86, died October 10, 2015, as the result of an automobile accident.\r\n\r\nHe was born in Weehawken, New Jersey on May 17, 1929, the son of Paul and Veronica (Byron) Stucki. Paul graduated from Hamilton College in 1951, and Cornell Medical School in 1955. He served his Residency at Maine Medical Center in Portland, ME where he met his wife. During the Korean War, he served in the US Army.\r\n\r\nHe operated an Orthopedic practice in Waterville, ME for many years, retiring in 1989.\r\n\r\nPaul absolutely loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and gardening. He was an avid painter, won many awards, and was a member of Waterville Area Arts Society. Through his life, he was active in many church activities. Paul was an accomplished pianist and often played for the churches he attended. He was very proud of his Swiss American Heritage.\r\n\r\nSurviving are his wife Joyce (Smith) Stucki of Winslow, ME, 3 sons, Mark of Freeport, ME, David and wife Holly of Oakland, ME, and Jon of Kayenta, Az., a daughter Beth Stucki of Waterville, ME, a brother Arthur of Boiceville, NY., 2 grandchildren Heidi Stucki of Portland, ME, and Hannah Stucki-Page and husband Austin of Memphis, Tn.\r\n \r\nA Memorial funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Saturday October 17 at the Oakland Sidney United Methodist Church West School Street Oakland, ME. \r\n\r\nIn lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Oakland Sidney United Methodist Church Christian Education Fund. \r\n\r\nAn online guestbook may be signed and memories shared at www.lawrybrothers.com.
