Geraldine Faye Graham, 85, of Unity, Maine passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011 at Sebasticook Valley Health Care Facility in Pittsfield, Maine. She was born in Gardiner, Maine on July 21, 1925, the daughter of Roy and Mary (Ramsey) Douglass. She was a graduate of Groton High School, class of 1943 in Groton, Massachusetts. After high school she attended Nursing School at the Sisters Hospital in Waterville and became a registered nurse in 1946. She was employed with Thayer Hospital for several years where she was a supervisor of the nursery. In later years she was employed with Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home until her retirement. Geraldine loved gardening and going to yard sales. She made dried flower baskets that she sold in various gift shops. She was loved by all who knew her and will be missed by her friends and neighbors at Sandy Stream. She was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Norman B. Graham; brothers, Wilbur and Sherman Douglass; and sister, Shirley Gordon. Geraldine is survived by her sons, David Graham and wife Linda of Sidney, and James A. Graham of Merritt Island, Florida; grandsons, Scott Graham and wife Beth of Nova Scotia, and James D. Graham, stationed with the Air Force in Tacoma, Washington; a great grandson, Jack Graham of Nova Scotia; a brother, Edgar Douglass and wife Bernadette of Boise, Idaho; and several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, May 18, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterville, Maine with Pastor Bill Lawrence officiating.
