Waterville, Maine-Gloria C. Natole, 84, was called to Heaven on February 19, 2013. We will miss her sparking blue eyes and neverending smile. She was born in Fairfield, Maine on September 24, 1928 the daughter of the late Alfred E. and Gertrude L. (Green) Rowe. Gloria attended schools in Fairfield, Maine, and devoted her life raising her children and grandchildren. She worked for several years at Colonial House Manor Nursing Home, retiring in 1981. She loved playing Beano, and in earlier years, music and dancing. She was an enthusiastic piano player who entertained many over the years. She had a special love for animals. Gloria was predeceased by loving husbands Bernard Burgess (the father of her five children), Arthur Bureau, and Nicholas Natole; sisters Ruby Wales and Audrey Gordon; and brother Ronnie Rowe. She is survived by her brother, Ed Rowe of Fairfield, Maine; daughters Sharon Bajpai and husband Kam of Fairfield, Maine, Cindy Cormier and husband Bernie of Benton, Maine, Lisa Brown and husband Cleveland “Brownie” of Fairfield, Maine; sons Brian Burgess of Sidney, Maine, and Larry Burgess and wife Patricia of Fairfield, Maine; 14 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, 7 great great grandchildren; several nieces; and lifelong best friend Alice Flagg. Special thanks to the staff at the Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home and the Inland Hospital Intensive Care Unit for their Kind and compassionate care. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 23, at 11 a.m. at the First Baptist Church, Newhall Street, Fairfield, Maine, with Pastor Steve Donahue officiating.
